Because the United States is such a huge market, some American indie publishers tend to overlook the importance of overseas licensing. Although publishers should concentrate on their home market, overseas royalties are significant revenue sources.
At minimum, a publisher with a broadly based catalog can add 20-30% to U.S. earnings through good international representation.
